8:30 am REGISTRATION - Jeannette Palmer Johnson, Trinity, TX, Co-Chair 2005 Reunion, a descendant of Thomas Henry Palmer and Rachel Teel.
 
9:30 INTRODUCTIONS by Francis Goforth, Huntsville, TX, Co-Chair 2005 Reunion, a descendant of Anthony Clairborne and Martha Dougharty Palmer.
 
10:00 TAYLOR PENDLEY, Mesquite, TX, a descendant of Anthony C. and Martha Dougharty Palmer.  Dr. Pendley is the Dean of this group and the reason we are here today.  He will share information about the area of Virginia where Martin #1 and Martin #2 lived and information about descendants of Martin #5.

10:45 HOW TO JOIN HISTORICAL/GENEALOGICAL GROUPS - Including  The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Sons of the Republic of Texas, Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution.  If you are a descendant of Martin Parmer V you qualify for all four.  If you descend from Martin Palmer IV, you qualify for DAR and SAR.
 
11:00 KAMERON SEARLE, Katy, TX, a descendant of John Martin Palmer and Eliza Shepperd, who will tell us about his "Online Family Tree of Martin Palmer - His Ancestors, Descendants and Collateral Lines."  And Kameron will bring the earliest record he has found which refers to Martin Parmer as "The Ring Tail Panther."  He will challenge everyone at the reunion to find an earlier one for the 2007 Reunion.

1:30 FRAN VICK, Austin, TX, a descendant of Elizabeth Palmer and Rufus Chandler who will tell us about the scholarship she started in Martin Parmer's name at the University of Texas.
 
2:00 DANIEL A. HILL, El Toro, CA, a descendant of Emaline Parmer and Gus Shepperd who will present "A Journey in Search of Martin Parmer and Kin in Tennessee and Missouri."  This power point presentation combines digital photos, newspaper stories, records and maps to tell the story of remarkable ancestor.
 
2:30 GEORGE VICK of Austin, TX a descendant of Anthony Clairborn and Martha Dougharty Palmer will sing his original song "Ring Tail."
 
3:00 PARTICIAPNTS WILL SHARE share interesting or funny stories about our Parmer/Palmer ancestors.
 
3:30 MAKE PLANS FOR SUNDAY MARCH 20TH.  We can visit Goree Center, local cemeteries, and visit places where our ancestors lived.  The Sam Houston Museum and Statue are open Monday - Saturday 9 AM to 5PM, not Sunday.
 
4:00  TIME TO VISIT with cousins or visit Huntsville.

 
Hotel Information and Directions
 
The Reunion will be held at Goree Recreation Center located at Interstate Highway 45 Exit #112.  Turn immediately right off Exit #112 to SH 75, (toward Sam Houston Statue).  Go .04 mi south on SH 75 look for red, white and blue ballons, turn into driveway (east) at small red brick building.
 
The reunion motel, COMFORT INN AND SUITES, is 4 miles north of the Goree Recreation Center.  to reserve rooms call Comfort Inn and Suites at (936) 438-8400.  Identify yourself with the Palmer/Parmer Reunion.  Comfort Inn and Suites is at 160 IH 45.  If coming North on IH 45 turn at Exit  #114 continue north on the feeder road approximately 2 miles.  (Comfort Inn and Suites is next to El Chico Restaurant on the east side of the freeway).  If coming South on IH 45 turn on Exit #114, turn over bridge, immediately turn left again, continue on north on the feeder road for approximately 2 miles.  (Yes, you pass Comfort Inn and Suites on the interstate before you can take Exit #114 to get to the Motel.)  You come back north almost to Exit #116 before you get to Comfort In and Suites, located next to El Chico Restaurant.
 
For those cousins coming into Huntsville on Friday, COMFORT INN AND SUITES has a small meeting room located in the southeast corner of the lobby which we have reserved for Friday evening from 7 pm until for a get together.  Come down and get to know your cousins.  Bring your genealogy records.  Light refreshments only.
